The History Began...

The most problematic area regarding Jatropha Oil is stock availabilities. Most of the companies claimed they had already cultivated Jatropha seems suddenly missing in action! For last 2 years we had been searching larger stock of Jatropha seed but never found. And we found the seeds, either is was not enough to produce oil or it too expensive and reasonable to produce Jatropha oil as main raw to biodiesel.

We calculated the cost to plant Jatropha (estate scale) is almost same cost to plant Palm Oil and of course Palm Oil is more profitable than Jatropha. As everybody know, if the price of Jatropha seed is expensive, how can we produce biodiesel lower than normal diesel market price? For Malaysian market, it's more illogical to sell biodiesel more than 'subsidized' price! So its about PRICE that we have to KIV this biodiesel project!

We have tried seeds from a 'well known' Jatropha company which started almost 2 years ago but found their seeds can't produce oil up to 20%. This is another problem? How can the farmers maintain the seeds quality? How can the farmers guarantee us that the seeds we buy to process biodiesel can produce at least 40% oil? This issue also stagnant us to go further.

Early this year (2008) we found En Ali from Ahas Agro Sdn. Bhd. who clamed he has found new seedling; and that the history began...
